Simon Oliver is a photographer living and working in South-West France. Although based in the city – Toulouse – he moves extensively around the region on different projects.

Simon trained as a photo-journalist with CAMERA PRESS, in London, in the early seventies … but he wasn’t much good at pushing a lens into the faces of suffering children, starving peasants or revolting students.

He tried wedding photography for a while but this adventure was cut short when he inadvertently destroyed all the negatives of a society weeding by pouring fixer into the chamber instead of the developer.

Hell, I’m not going to write my life story here! Suffice it to say that I have led a long and varied life from Belfast to Berlin to Biarritz taking pictures along the way.
